The Tech-Air® 3 v2 Canvas Airbag System is now also user serviceable, allowing riders to replace the gas inflator canisters following an airbag deployment. • Alpinestars’ crash detection triggering algorithm has been developed and refined with millions of kilometers of riding data and thousands of crashes, allowing the System to accurately assess when to deploy the airbag ahead of an impact or other dangerous situation like a lowside or highside crash. In the event that Tech-Air® 3 v2 detects the start of a crash, the System will inflate the protective airbag in milliseconds, reducing up to 95% of the impact energy transferred to the rider anywhere the airbag protects, which includes the full chest and back. In the event of a direct impact of the rider with another vehicle or obstacle, the Tech-Air® 3 v2 System, is effective for the “first impact1,” which means that the System inflates before the rider hits the vehicle or obstacle against which the rider will have the direct impact. • Featuring a main chassis constructed of stretch nylon canvas, and waterproof ECU and electronics, the slim, selfcontained System can be worn under a motorcycle jacket, including an Alpinestars’ Tech-Air® Ready jacket, or any leather or textile jacket, providing that the jacket has sufficient space to accommodate the inflation of the airbag. The Airbag is certified for up to 6 deployments, providing its integrity hasn’t been compromised during a deployment or crash situation, and before needing to send or bring it to an Authorized Tech-Air® Service Center for the replacement of the Airbag Bladder. • The gas inflator canisters can be replaced by select Alpinestars dealers and certified Tech-Air® Service Centers. • The Tech-Air® 3 v2 Canvas vest is washable; it may be hand washed at 30°C, do not bleach, or put it in the dryer, iron it, or dry clean it.
