ALPINESTARS SUPERTECH M10 ® Professional Helmet DESCRIPTION The goal of the Alpinestars Supertech family of helmets was to create the most advanced, protective, and performance-enhancing helmets possible for riders worldwide. With the S-M10, Alpinestars’ Helmet Development team engineered the helmet to offer the perfect blend of excellent ventilation, and unsurpassed comfort, to create a helmet with the lightest weight possible, all without compromising on any other front. The S-M10’s design offers a smooth, attractive, aerodynamic profile which is streamlined and free of any external channels and features that might act as a load point in an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet’s construction. The surface curvature promotes reduced friction on impact, allowing deflection and the most efficient transfer of energy to protect the rider’s head from direct force to the skull and referred to the neck and spinal column. KEY FEATURES The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures each helmet fit size has its own appropriate shell size to deliver the most anatomical solution for the wide variety of fit needs worldwide, providing 4 different helmet shell sizes S, M, L, and XL and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL to ensure riders have the correct fit which not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but most importantly, improves the effectiveness of the helmet in an impact. Patented A-Head Fitment System allows easy adjustment of the angle and height that the helmet sits on the head. Ultra-ventilated helmet with 28 individual intake and exhaust ports, not including the eye port, with 18 intakes and 10 exhausts, for optimal ventilation. The helmet’s shell construction utilizes a highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 1) 3K Carbon, high density carbon outer layer that improves strength and efficiency of energy dissipation over the shell, 2) Uni-directional carbon composite layer that gives significantly greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection for reducing transmitted impact energy, and 3) Aramid fiber layer which provides critical penetration protection. This combination of layers is given even greater perfor¬mance with an epoxy resin bonding that offers the best possible strength and energy management; limited outer shell deflection means the energy spreads wider and is better absorbed by the 4 density EPS liner. Redesigned chin bar’s new profile, where the base area has been specifically sculpted to give a relief section, raised to clear the collarbone, with a new softer EPS liner which extends beyond the helmet shell itself, and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound designed to provide a reduced chance of any sort of collarbone injury. Lightweight ECE 1260g and DOT 1360g for a size medium, 1310g with side pads and 1370g with visor extension. PROTECTION The result of the unique shell lay-up process employed in the S-M10 construction results in extremely effective impact protection. The S-M10 returning linear and oblique impact performance which exceeds current helmet regulation standard limits. For direct linear impacts, which is an impact at a 90-degree angle between the helmet and an object, the SM10 surpasses the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by an average magnitude of 46% for regular-speed impacts. New for the ECE 22.06 standard, new requirements now include low-speed and high-speed linear impacts where the SM10 surpasses the new ECE 22.06 Peak Linear Acceleration standards by 23% and 28% respectively. And for rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where impact energy comes from an angle other than a linear 90-degree, or right-angle straight impact, the S-M10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Rotational Acceleration standard by 76%. MIPS Multi-directional Impact Protection System. Removable side pads made from a semi-soft polymer for added protection provide a larger contact area to help spread impact energy. ERS Emergency Visor Release and a new Visor Extension to provide protection from roost and the sun. New eject technology includes the eject helmet removal system. ALPINESTARS SM7 ® Helmet DESCRIPTION The SM7 helmet is engineered for off-road racing, and is optimized to offer the perfect blend of superior ventilation and comfort in a lightweight helmet, while its supremely aerodynamic composite shell delivers exceptional impact protection. As well as Alpinestars patented A-Head Fitment and Visor Detaching Systems, the SM7 is equipped with innovative PLASMA technology at the lower side of the shell edge for optimum energy dissipation in case of contact with the collar bone area. KEY FEATURES The SM7’s aerodynamic profile design offers a smooth, streamlined shell free of any external channels and features that might act as a load point in an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet’s construction. ALPINESTARS SM3 ® Helmet DESCRIPTION Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the all-new SM3 Youth Helmet is optimized for MX, Enduro and Off-road use, and features a whole raft of technologies and innovations taken from Alpinestars range of adult helmets to deliver the optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort. KEY FEATURES This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell incorporating a special polymer blend enhanced by varying degrees of thickness that is engineered to deliver the optimal combination of impact protection and light weight. Lightweight outer shell is constructed from a technologically advanced impact resistant thermoplastic in three sizes (Youth Small, Youth Medium and Youth Large. The SM3 Youth weighs 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT). Separate versions of the shells for DOT and ECE requirements; the DOT certified version of the helmet’s inner shell is constructed with a composite fiber assembled between the outer shell and the EPS liner for maximum protection against impacts. The fit can be tailored to the rider’s head thanks to the helmet’s crown and cheek pads, which are available as spare parts in different thicknesses. Youth Medium (YM) and Youth Large (YL) sizes share the same EPS size, which allows riders with an YM size to initially buy an YM helmet and then configure it to a Youth Large size as they grow via the crown and cheek pad spare parts. The Youth Small (YS) has a smaller EPS size and can be customized only via the cheek pads. Alpinestars extensive research has shown that the kids that wear a YS size are very small, typically 3 to 4 years old, and therefore they require a dedicated helmet fit. CONSTRUCTION The multiple density inner liner ensures the helmet is equipped with the correct density in the correct area for enhanced impact absorption, while also helping to reduce overall weight. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts. Alpinestars patented low friction coating is applied to the inner part of the main EPS liner to reduce the rotational acceleration forces that can result from certain oblique impacts. This layer essentially acts as a slip plane to mimic the brain’s own low friction cerebrospinal fluid, which is the body’s natural defense against oblique impacts. Maximized ventilation and high levels of heat transfer exchange thanks to 10 inlets and seven exhaust ports. The visor has been designed to direct air into the ports for enhanced airflow. Patented visor release system ensures the visor is released with the correct pre-determined amount of force, effectively reducing the forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. Comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials for a lower carbon footprint. Hydration tube channels are integrated into the helmet’s cheek pads for convenience and performance. Soft textile chin strap is 25mm for optimal safety and rider comfort. PROTECTION ALPINESTARS NEW SAFETY STANDARD Alpinestars has introduced a new in-house standard for the SM3 Youth to test the helmet’s chin to conditions heavier than the homologation standard, and in order to pass the Alpinestars’ new standards, the shell thickness and the structure of the helmet design itself have both been optimized in the chin area for superior impact performance. Equipped with an Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads to permit the safe and easy removal of the cheek pads while the helmet is still on, while the 3D contoured foam ensures rider comfort. STREET Mode is optimized for asphalt roads including situations in which the rider’s motorcycle is hit by another vehicle while stopped. KEY FEATURES The world’s first dedicated off-road Airbag System, Tech-Air® Off-Road comes with 3 Riding Modes; ENDURO, RALLY, AND STREET. Riding Modes are easy to navigate while on the move via the LED Display located on the front of the System, or via the Tech-Air® App. The Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD System features dual charge capability which means that with two full gas inflators, the System provides two separate airbag deployments, since only one gas inflator will deploy to inflate the entire Airbag System during a crash scenario. Quick release cover opening allows for rapid gas inflator replacement by user, only available in countries where gas inflator replacement by individuals is permitted by local regulations. A fully self-contained, standalone system; 3 accelerometers (1 triaxial accelerometer) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial gyroscope) are integrated in the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) to provide the best crash monitoring performance and active airbag protection in a variety of dynamic off-road riding scenarios. No external sensors are required for the system to operate. The Tech-Air® OFF-ROAD System uses an integrated, certified lithiumion battery, with a fully charged battery life of 30 hours and a recharge time of approximately 4 hours; charging the battery for approximately 1 hour will provide approximately 8 hours of riding time use. Ease of use; to turn on the Tech-Air® Off-Road System, simply zip up the System and it will automatically turn on and activate the Airbag System. To deactivate the airbag, unzip the System and it will automatically turn off. A dedicated Shipping Mode slide switch is located on the ECU, which when turned on effectively puts the the System into sleep mode. Only accessible once the Electronic Case on the back protector is removed, the Shipping Mode switch allows the battery to be disconnected from the System during transportation or when the System will not be in use for a prolonged period of time. The System is sold with the Shipping Mode turned on, make sure to turn the Shipping Mode off when you open the box and use the Airbag System for the first time. The Tech-Air® Off-Road System’s Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and airbag are completely removable so that the Protection Jacket can be washed separately.
