32 - A-CONNECT READY The S-R7 is engineered to be seamlessly integrated with A-Connect; Alpinestars Communications System that utilizes a second generation Harman Kardon Sound System with 40mm speakers and advanced Ai-based noise cancelling technology for the ultimate in aural pleasure. The helmet is also equipped with a built-in, integrated charring point at the back of the neck section for quick and easy charging. Waterproof when mounted to the helmet’s shell, the System is powered by a dual core processing unit for unrivalled multi-taking audio performance, and has a Bluetooth and Mesh Intercom range of 1.2km in open terrain. When used a Group intercom, the Wave Intercom is virtually limitless, while the Group Mesh Intercom itself can host 24 riders. Equipped with powerful, hi-definition speakers, the intelligent System adapts to the riding environment in real time, minimizing wind and road noise for crystalclear voice transmission, and boasts lithium ion battery technology for a Bluetooth intercom battery lifetime of 24 hours (17 hours for Mesh Intercom). Recharge time is just 1.5 hours. A-Connect comes with the following components - Main unit: main keyboard, battery unit and antenna. - Speaker sets. - Microphone. - Additional double-sided adhesive tape. - Speaker pads. - Velcro speaker pads. - Velcro microphone pad. - USB-C charging cable. Waterproof Installation Guide Place the helmet on a flat surface with the cheek pads facing upwards. Remove the cheek pads and then remove the earphone inserts. Position and apply the female Velcro side on to the earphone seats. Remove the plastic side cover on the exterior of the helmet’s shell by releasing the small lever. Remove the plastic cover located centrally in the rear section of the helmet by releasing the small lever. Take the User Interface and its associated wiring, and push the plastic connector inside the hole on the shell until it exits on the other side. Once all the wiring is positioned inside the hole, attach the keypad to the shell by snapping it securely into position on the plastic housing. Take the Main Unit and wiring, and connect the connector. Apply a Velcro patch on to the recess on the chin bar, and then secure the microphone to the patch. Attach the speakers in the recess on either side, and then check the wiring is positioned correctly inside the channel. Connect the three connectors (the red microphone and black speaker connectors on the left side, the black speaker connector on the right side). Push the antenna inside the hole on the red PU on the helmet’s interior. Ensure the wiring is routed inside the space between the EPS and the shell and NOT inside the red clip. Use adhesive fabric to securely attach the cables and connectors in position. 24
