2026 Drag Specialties FatBook cover bike is a bold, chrome and carbon fiber enhanced example of the popular Road Glide. Built at Kodlin U.S.A., it is a beautiful example of what can be achieved with an expert eye for detail and a carefully selected list of parts from the FatBook. Holger Mohr, one of the co-founders of Kodlin U.S.A., stressed that it was a team build. “I want to be clear, I didn’t build this bike,” laughed Mohr. “I did have a hand in it and managed the project, but the designer of the bike was Len (Kodlin, the ‘other’ co-founder of Kodlin U.S.A.). This bike build is the end result of his plan, his ideas and vision. The final design and execution was totally Len’s. In football terms, Len was the quarterback of this build.” “When the discussion came up for our team to be selected for a cover bike build, this early on in our relationship with Drag Specialties, that is something really cool to have happen,” Mohr said. The first thing the team did was take a look at past FatBook cover bikes. “We took some time to look back at the past 20 or so cover bikes at the start of the project,” Mohr said. Not so much to get ideas, but to see what had already been showcased on the FatBook cover. “The approach of Len was to make something new, ON THE COVER something exciting, something that will look cool 10 years from now,” Mohr said. “A bike, that when you see it, you will still say ‘Wow! That is a cool bike!’” Chrome is increasing in popularity again, Mohr said. And there is a new segment that is getting attention – the Bagger racing series. “We wanted to blend the two styles,” Mohr said. “A combination of the classic chrome look, some custom work and some of the style of the Bagger racing bikes, the carbon fiber and performance aspect.” The Kodlin U.S.A. team plan was to use the build in part to highlight some of their own products that can currently be found in the FatBook, along with some new parts that will be available by the time the FatBook arrives at the dealers. The team also looked through the pages of the FatBook, selecting parts from other suppliers that would complement the planned style of the bike build. “It was really exciting to just page through the FatBook,” Len Kodlin said. “The top suppliers and products are all in there. It was really a lot of fun to be calling Drag Specialties as parts were selected and requested, ‘Hey, send us this! Send us that!” The bike build includes Thrashin’ Supply triple trees and billet shift levers, Arlen Ness wheels and Slyfox carbon fiber saddlebags and a carbon fiber rear fender. The bike’s suspension features Legend Suspension AXEO Performance front kit, along with Arlen Ness chrome Method No-Flex lower fork legs.
