Payroll & HR Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll & HR Specialist. This role is a key part of our HR team and supports payroll, employee benefits, and HR administration across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Preparing and reviewing payroll data : ensure accuracy, and help with reporting and year-end tasks
  • Manage employee benefits and RRSP programs, and answer related questions
  • Keep HR records, systems, and employee data organized and up to date
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day HR administration
  • Prepare regular HR reports and help with audits and compliance tasks
  • Partner with the HR team on projects, communications, and process improvements
  • Support health & safety initiatives and committee activities
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in payroll, HR administration, or a similar role
  • Solid understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable working with data, systems, and reports
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience with payroll systems (Avanti is a big plus!)
  • A self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solver with a process-driven mindset
