Payroll & HR Specialist
Job description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Payroll & HR Specialist. This role is a key part of our HR team and supports payroll, employee benefits, and HR administration across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Preparing and reviewing payroll data : ensure accuracy, and help with reporting and year-end tasks
- Manage employee benefits and RRSP programs, and answer related questions
- Keep HR records, systems, and employee data organized and up to date
- Assist with onboarding, offboarding, and day-to-day HR administration
- Prepare regular HR reports and help with audits and compliance tasks
- Partner with the HR team on projects, communications, and process improvements
- Support health & safety initiatives and committee activities
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in payroll, HR administration, or a similar role
- Solid understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working with data, systems, and reports
- Great time management and organizational skills
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with payroll systems (Avanti is a big plus!)
- A self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solver with a process-driven mindset
